A young family moved into a 100 m² apartment near the centre of Ljubljana. Their goal was a functional, fluid home, which required thoughtful planning, high-quality interior design, and precise interior project development. The aim was to create a harmonious ambient, where the interior furnishings support both family life and an airy open layout.
Oval lines as the guiding concept
The signature feature of the apartment is a continuous series of oval cabinets stretching from the entryway to the kitchen. These amorphous lines soften the space, visually expand it, and seamlessly connect different functional zones. Integrated doors to the bathroom and utility remain hidden, reinforcing the clean, unified look characteristic of refined interior design.
A unified kitchen wall with concealed passages
To ensure a cohesive appearance in the taller kitchen section, the utility entrance was aligned with the cabinetry and executed in the same colour and material. Generous storage surfaces along the perimeter allow the central living area to remain open, light, and exceptionally fluid.
Organic shapes in the living area
Soft, rounded lines continue in the living room, appearing in the wall niche and the kitchen island. The dining table, chairs, and pendant lights follow the same organic language, resulting in a balanced, harmonious ambient.
Colour and material palette
Light grey-beige tones are complemented by deep emerald green, adding elegance and character. Ribbed MDF on the curved furniture elements acts as a distinctive, recognisable feature of the apartment’s interior furnishings.
Characterful sanitary rooms
The bathroom and WC feature emerald-toned wallpapers, with a playful monkey motif in the WC adding a touch of humour and personality.
Light as a design element
Indirect lighting and semi-circular mirrors in the hallway, bathroom, and children’s rooms emphasise the curved forms and create a soft, inviting atmosphere throughout the home.
